Introduction to SEW inverter MCF40A series
The MOVIDRIVER compact is the term for SEW compact high performance drive inverter s. The MOVIDRIVE R compact unit can be precisely tailored to your requirements. You can use them for AC drives with a power range of 1.5 to 90 kW (2.0 to 120 HP). They combine state-of-the-art inverter technology with proven SEW control processes to meet the most stringent requirements for dynamics and quality control.
The MOVIDRIVE compact range consists of four series:
MOVIDRIVE compact MCF: inverter for asynchronous AC motors, encoderless feedback, VFC control mode
MOVIDRIVE compact MCV: Drive inverter for asynchronous AC motors with encoder feedback, VFC or CFC control mode.
MOVIDRIVE compact MCS: Synchronous servo motor drive inverter with resolver, CFC control mode.
MOVIDRIVE compact MCH: inverter for asynchronous AC motors, asynchronous servo motors or synchronous servo motors. Encoder feedback with a Hiperface encoder, sine/cosine encoder or T TL sensor.

The MOVIDRIVE @ compact drive inverter complies with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 73/23 / EEC.
• Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
The MOVIDRIVE @ compact drive inverter is designed for installation in machinery and equipment. They comply with the EMC product standard EN 61800-3 'Variable Electric Drives'. If the installation instructions are met, they will meet the corresponding requirements for the CE marking of the entire machine/system in which they are installed in accordance with EMC Directive 89/336 / EEC.
MOVIDRIVE @ compact drive inverter s of sizes 1 and 2 come standard with an input filter. These devices comply with the limits A of EN 55011 and EN 55014 and no further action is required.
The CE mark on the nameplate indicates compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 73/23 / EEC and the EMC Directive 89/336 / EEC. We can issue a statement that meets this effect on request.

-125% IN continues to operate without overload (pump, fan)
▪ In VFC mode, IN = 100% allows ambient temperature up to = 500 °C
▪ Integrated brake chopper as standard with 4Q function
▪ Compact unit mounting position, minimizing switch cabinet space requirements and optimal use of switch cabinet volume
• Integrated input filter as standard size 1 and 2 mounting with Class A limits on the input side without any additional measures
▪ Six isolated binary inputs and three binary outputs, one of which is a relay output, programmable input/output
▪ A TF / TH input for motor protection, including PTC thermistors or thermal contact tri-color LEDs for display operation and fault conditions.
▪ Separate 24 VDC voltage input for powering the inverter electronics (even if the power system is off, parameter setting, diagnostics and data storage)
▪ Detachable connection unit, and MOVIDRIVE compact MCH4_A, detachable electronics terminal
▪ Can disconnect 1 unit power terminal
