This series of BEARHUG locknuts brings together the prevailing torque principle, especially its ability to dampen shock and vibration, the all inch design retaining nut of the NI series especially with the National Fine Thread Series with 16 threads per inch, and the precision of the WHITTET-HIGGINS BEARHUG products. It is ideal for applications where the assembly will perform in difficult conditions such as mining and construction equipment.
This series provides four larger sizes not provided in the NI series.
The runout of the bearing face to the pitch diameter of the threads has a one revolution total indicator reading of no greater than .001 inches for all sizes. The surface level of the bearing face is within 40 microinches.
