SEP, a UK based ISO9001 / AS9100 manufacturing company, has been the preferred manufacturer and supplier of gaskets and studbolts to a UK based Oil Refinery for 20 years. When we were approached by the refinery to take a proactive role in reducing hand and finger injuries associated with the fitting of gaskets and studbolts the FingerSaver concept was born. Some inspirational thinking and innovative ideas produced some early prototypes, which were tested and immediately approved by the refining facility. Our intelligent manufacturing processes were utilised in the designing, specification and testing of materials and quality control procedures were put in place to ensure this product did its job… Safely.
